CAREER PLANNING

How to Get
the Best of This World:

One of the dua (supplication) given to us by Allah Himself is: "Our Lord! give us something fine in this world, and good in the Akhirah (the everlasting life in Hereafter) and shield us from the torment of the Fire! (Quran: 2:201)

Striving to achieve the best of both worlds means acquiring the necessary education, knowledge, and skills. This section is designed as a forum to help Muslims in learning how to get the best of this world.

Allah is Al Razzaq (the Provider) and has asked us to make our best effort in obtaining His rizq (provision), and to be content with what He has given us.

Ayah of the Day
And (remember) when you met (the army of the disbelievers on the Day of the battle of Badr), He showed them to you as few in your eyes and He made you appear as few in their eyes, so that Allâh might accomplish a matter already ordained (in His Knowledge), and to Allâh return all matters (for decision). [Al-Anfal 8 : 44]
Hadith of the Day
Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah’s Messenger said, “The strong believer is better and dearer to Allah than the weak believer, and all of them have goodness. Be keen on what benefits you and seek help in Allah, and do not give up. If anything afflicts you do not say, ‘If I had done such and such thing, such and such would have happened,’ but say, ‘Allah decrees, and what He wills He does,’ for (the utterance) ‘If I had’ provides an opening for the deeds of the evil.” (Muslim reported it)
Quote of the Day
"Remain conscious of God and fear Him wherever you are, and follow a bad deed with a good deed which will wipe it out, and behave well towards people." Hadith
